Online love and friendship between single people, a source of debate among many now. Who are any of us to judge the pureness of how it begins, or how it blossoms. We speak for hours to one another, opening our souls as we rarely ever have in person before. Forming bonds of frendship, love, and for some, romance and marrige.

Craig Deanto's song "Long Distance Lovers" touches upon this subject, and thus created the spark within me for this website about love & friendship. Through my mailing list and friends online, I hear stories of love found, and unfortunately, sometimes lost through long distance. Craig states that his inspiration for this song was inspired by "The girl I created in my mind whom I hoped I would one day meet. Now I have found her, and we are blissfully married."

For myself, the love of my life and true soulmate came along online in 2002. He is more than I even dared to ever dream or hope for. I had decided to give love one last chance, and almost as a whim placed an online ad at Cupid.com -- That ad was answered by several men, only one who captured my heart with his honesty and pure love. Eric's heart and soul is forever entwined with mine for an eternity.

This site is for all of you that deal with the happy and sad times during long distance relationships, whether they be one of deep romantic love, or close spiritual friendship. Craig, his wife, Eric & I hope this site reminds you of someone special.

She had questions
Questions in her eyes
Going overseas to a bunch of lies

Everything was missing
There was no truth
A prisoner trying to break loose

No way home, no way out
No telephone, unheard shouts

We are long distance lover's
E-mailing and phoning everyday
We are long distance lover's melting the distance away

Don't know when you'll see me again, girl
Don't know when you'll have me back in your arms

I really miss you
I want to kiss you goodnight
I want to hold you
I want to hold you tonight

No matter how long it takes
I'm there for you
And you for me
Forever and ever
For eternity

Just close your eyes
Open your heart
And you're there with me

No matter where we are
No matter what we say
Together everyday

We are long distance lover's
E-mailing and phoning everyday
We are long distance lover's melting the distance away
SOULS LOST IN A COMPUTER
Suzanne Fromtling©1998

Going through the motions seems so useless
A fruitless search for love that leads nowhere
except a broken heart and poor choices
I see why I love, but not why I love you

Torturing myself with a love that I cannot have
Nor can you, but we do not stop.....why
We are driven to be together which will never be
Driven by this passion uncontrolled within us

I laugh at the times we have had on line
Smile at the memories of our voices on the phone
But my heart cries to be next to you
Gazing into your eyes and feeling your touch

Oh my sweet, dear love, why did we meet
The pleasures we share so quickly turn to pain
The laughter fades to tears as I lie here alone
Spinning my dreams of what can never be

We have touched one another as no one has
Our souls were one, long before we met here
Our voices are typed in unison on white
my breath is your breath, your heartbeat mine

Is it our ties to others that make the love more real
My vision is clouded between what I want, and what is
When the fog lifts I know I will need strength
For one of us must surely say goodbye, oh let it be me

I know I will love you always, as it has forever been
This life we are in allows us to never meet
Commitments made to others we cannot break
But we know our souls will meet and touch again
My Friend.....My Midnight Muse
by Suzanne Fromtling ~ Copyright 1999©

Your beautiful words flow to my ears
filling the empty night air around me
Notes spun from my sweet muse
Lifting my heart and filling my soul

As you sing to me all distance melts away
I am there looking into your eyes
Believing I have always known you
Knowing true friendship in my heart

The hours melt by in laughter and song
Building that bond unique to few
Sharing the pain of the past lives
Spinning our dreams for the future

No matter where our paths may weave
We know that there is someone caring
Someone wishing all the best for us
Our invisible life companion forever

Not wanting this morning to end
But knowing we have mornings to come
Friends bound by circumstances
Friends believing we can change the world

We join our hearts and voices for others
Our talents given us by heaven above
Where once only one cried out alone
Our lives creating a voice now never alone
Love is Love

It's very strange, when suddenly, your heart will realize,
It has been taken by someone with words before your eyes.
It is so strange to fall in love while staring at a screen,
With someone who is miles away that you have never seen.

You read about it in the news and see it on TV.
About an online love affair as real as it could be.
A couple fell in love online and one day finally meet.
The love was real for both of them and now they are complete.

You think this couldn't happen because it is all a game.
The people that you read about already were insane.
To meet a perfect stranger may be asking way too much,
The people who set up these dates have gone completely nuts.

You don't know...who your talking to, and can they be sincere?
And if you've never seen someone, how can they really care?
So then you play your silly games, while trying to have fun.
And if someone seems serious, you click your mouse and run.

Nobody can convince you that relationships can brew.
It's just a game that people play, because it's something new.
You talk to people everywhere, as if the world is right.
Then, when you're tired of talking, you just click them off at night.

But, one day you will meet someone, as strange as it may seem.
And they will make you feel as tho you're living in a dream.
You will feel emotions until now were undisturbed.
And as they type upon your screen, you'll hang on every word.

You'll not understand it, how this person makes you feel,
But, emotions that you're feeling suddenly are real.
You will feel emotions and you'll think that it's insane.
How could words upon a screen cause happiness and pain?

When you realize the words are from a person's heart,
Then you understand, within your life, they have a part.
Relationships online is something you think you're above,
But, deep within your heart, you know you're falling deep in love.

Love is love, no matter what the world will try to say.
What difference does it matter, how the love has come your way?
True love...is so precious, and it is so rare to find,
How can you doubt some people find true love when they're online?

It may be hard to understand how you can love someone,
When all you wanted was to go online to have some fun.
You may think relationships online may not be smart.
But, I have met some people that I love with all my heart!
Online Friendship
© by Diana Love

Yesterday I was so alone,
facing another day of loneliness.
Hooked my puter to the net,
and met that night my first new friend.
We chatted, teased, played with love notes,
we helped each other learn to download.
We danced, we sang,
he sent me a card, I sent him back one.
We became friends of chat.
Now I'm not lonely as before,
my man holds me, shares my fears.
I'm so different and I know why,
I am smiling, very wide.
He's out there with a life,
but he comes to hold me close each night.
And I learn how to flirt, and listen,
growing growing by the minute.
He means so much this online friend,
I am no fool it could end.
Not lonely any more.
Online Friendship...

The true friends who we meet online
are a very special kind
They pierce your shields and see within
the corners of your mind
They're always there when you're in need
with their power to discern
They feel your pain...........they offer hope
and genuine concern
We bare our souls, expose our hearts
and show our inner fears
and then before you know it
the keyboard's stained with tears
And if we could see them through that screen
then no one could deny
that to be a TRUE online friend
they too must surely cry.
